Happy New Year

I love fresh starts.  Whether it is a new day, a new month, or the New Year.  It is not that the world has changed overnight, but the reset signals that something new has begun - an opportunity to put the past in the past and look forward to what lies ahead.  Our lives won’t change on January 1st just because we opened a new page in the calendar, but we can decide to discard what we need to of 2020 and carry forward the lessons and strengths we gained.

Looking back…

2020 began with a strong real estate market in WindsorEssex and closed even stronger.  We saw record low inventory, irresistible mortgage rates, and climbing sale prices.  The pandemic caused a brief pause as we all tried to adjust.  Many homeowners changed housing plans as we all started working and schooling from home.  Our spring market got pushed to the summer months and didn’t quiet until the end of the year.  Our average sales price topped over $400,000.

Looking ahead…

I am confident the WindsorEssex will continue to grow as homeowners will be looking to “right size” or move closer to family.  Working remotely has given a whole new meaning to “location, location, location.” If you’re thinking of upgrading your home - start planning now.  Contractors and supplies are in high demand.  If you’re considering a move - start planning now.  Many first time buyers are looking for upscale homes which will make the move up market even tougher.  Interest rates and inventory will remain low.

As we start this new year together I want you, my neighbours, to know that I am committed to help you make a memorable move.
